Apple seems to having trouble with its latest lot of products. After receiving multiple complaints related to newly launched iPhone 15, the company is now reportedly investigating a display issue on the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2. The Cupertino giant is said to be probing a display flicker problem that is affecting some users of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2. The issue appears to be most noticeable in always-on mode, with the display flickering briefly before returning to normal.
An internal service memo obtained by MacRumours that was sent across to Apple authorised service providers suggests that Apple is aware of the problem and is working on a fix that should be released in a future software update. It is unclear how widespread the issue is, but it has been reported by a number of users on social media and online forums.
According to the report, Apple has asked service providers not to repair the affected watches and instead advice the users to update their watch to the latest software. The update will be released in the next week.
For the time being, Apple has asked users to turn off Always On mode in the Settings app under Display & Brightness section. In addition to the display flicker problem, the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 have also been plagued by another issue affecting wherein the activity ring in the watch face turns pink.
