Harley Davidson has showcased the Pan America 1250 ST which is a more road focused and sportier version of the Pan America.
Harley Davidson is expanding the Pan America range and they have now showcased the Pan America 1250 ST which is a more sportier and road biased version of the Adventure tourer motorcycle. It remains the same engine wise but there have been changes made to make things more compliant on the road.
To make it better on the road, Harley Davidson has given it lower suspension, smaller 17-inch wheels which are wrapped in Michelin Scorcher Sport Tyres, a lower seat, a lighter weight exhaust system and a bi-directional quick-shifter as well. It also looses on some protective elements. The radiator shroud has been shrunken in size and Harley has removed the knuckle guards as well.
The engine remains the same 1,250cc V-Twin liquid cooled unit which produces 150 bhp and 127 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch.
Feature wise, there is a 6.8-inch TFT dash with a touchscreen and it can also display Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are five riding modes-Road, Sport, Rain and two custom modes which can be altered by the rider. Other electronic features include cornering ABS, wheelie control, cruise control and TPMS. It also gets adaptive ride height, which lowers the motorcycle when coming at a stop for the rider to reach the ground easier.
Other details include a Showa mono-shock at the rear and Brembo Mono-block calipers up front. It will be available in three colour options-Grey, Black and Red. Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet but the motorcycle but we can expect it to be priced a little lower than Pan America 1250 Special. We expect it to be priced at Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom) which is around Rs 2.5 lakh cheaper than the all out adventure model.
