Kate Beckinsale may have now hinted at the cause of her apparent hospitalisation last month with her outfit choice in a post that’s been shared by her this week.
The actor, 50, sparked concern last month with photos that showed her in hospital. She shared more just weeks later and appeared to have remained in hospital for almost a month, though is now home.
She has denied that she was being treated for a ruptured cyst or endometriosis, after having a ruptured ovarian cyst five years ago. She’s yet to disclose any further details.
Kate’s however now hinted that her apparent hospitalisation may have been related to “tummy troubles”. She shared a post with her followers on Instagram on Wednesday, which showed the actor in a home rather than a hospital.
She was seen wearing a t-shirt that read: “Tummy troubles survivor.” The top also featured imagery of a rabbit wearing armour, with them carrying a shield and a sword. The figure was stood in front of flowers, with the text around them.
Alongside the post, which appeared to include photos of her canine companion Myf and feline Willow, Kate added a bicep emoji, which is often used to denote strength. She also included a white heart emoji in the caption this week.
Kate prompted concern among fans last month when she shared photos of herself in hospital. She was seen teary-eyed in the photos, which were uploaded as part of a post for Mother’s Day and her mother Judy Loe’s birthday.
One photo showed her wearing a blue gown whilst lying in what appeared to be a hospital bed. A monitor was seen beside the actor – who has starred in films like Pearl Harbor (2001) and Van Helsing (2004). There was also a selfie.
At one point in the caption she wrote: “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s**t and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t. And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t.” Kate added in the post at the time: “And turn up when we are sick and sit with us. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.”
Fans expressed concern in the comments section at the time and Kate later suggested that she was still hospitalised weeks later. She took to Instagram at the end of March with a post marking Easter, with her sharing another photo that’s believed to have been taken in hospital at some point.
Then earlier this month, Kate posted yet more photos that appeared to have been taken in hospital, suggesting that she had remained there for almost a month. She however appears to have since removed the posts from her page.
