Apple iPhone 15 Price: While Dan Ives, a Wedbush Analyst, has not shared price digits, the leaks further cement the price rise news.
While Apple will likely launch the upcoming iPhone 15 series in September this year, leaks have already made them an attention seeker. Adding to that series are speculations from an industry expert that the iPhone 15 series smartphones will have a more premium price tag compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 series.
According to a Forbes report, Dan Ives, a Wedbush Analyst, revealed that the upcoming iPhone 15 catalogue would be more expensive when compared to the current generation. Moreover, the analyst shared with CNBC that the “average selling price (ASP)” of the 2023 iPhone models will be steeper than the present iPhone 14.
iPhone 15 Price Rise Update
As for the previous track record, Ives cautioned on the price rise of the latest iPhone 14 globally, which turned out true. However, the US buyers were out of scope. But this may not be the case in the upcoming series. Moreover, the report, citing industry analysts, speculates a hike of up to $200 (over Rs 15,000) on the ‘Pro’ models.
250 Million iPhones Pending For An Upgrade
While Ives has not shared price digits, the leaks further cement the price rise news. Further, Ives highlights that iPhone 15 lineup may turn into a “trophy case” moment for Apple. Mainly because he claims that around 250 million iPhone users have not upgraded their smartphones for more than four years.
iPhone 15 series specifications leaks
Coming to the upgrades that the iPhone 15 series might ship with, the phones may finally have a USB Type-C port instead of the Lightning port. Alongside better cameras, Apple is expected to bring a faster chip, most likely A16 Bionic on iPhone 15 and 15 Plus and A17 Bionic on the ‘Pro’ models. Moreover, these models could have a 48MP primary camera this time. Do note these are rumoured leaks and things could change in September.
