Kanye West released a song called “Eazy,” in which he suggests he’s going to beat up comedian Pete Davidson for dating his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The music video released this week emphasized the threat with a claymation of West kidnapping and burying a figure who looks a whole lot like Davidson. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Davidson has a surprisingly relaxed view of the situation.
“He finds the fact that Kanye included a cartoon version of him in his music video hysterical,” the source claimed. “He is almost flattered by it all because it is so ridiculous to him.”
They added that the Saturday Night Live star “is not threatened by Kanye in any way, shape or form.”
“He’s using this to grow in more ways than one including for himself and his relationship with Kim,” they continued. “He is turning all of the negativity into a positive thing.”
West’s antics and hostile social media posts have been having the opposite effect of what he claims to want—he seems to be driving the new couple closer.
The source said, “Kim could not be more appreciative of Pete….They are growing astronomically as a result. This has been more of a positive, growing experience for them, contrary to the negativity that surrounds the situation.”
Recently, West broke it off with actress Julia Fox after a whirlwind romance and hooked up with Chaney Jones, who some see as a “Kim Kardashian lookalike.”
“It’s almost out of spite and to make Kim jealous, but Kim couldn’t care less,” the source explained. “She is over it and just wants to move on. She knows Kanye is a loose cannon and at this point, nothing surprises her.”
This week, Kardashian was declared “legally single,” which inspired an Instagram post from West about how divorce is “suffocating.”
The former couple still needs to work out other aspects of the divorce, including custody of their four children, North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2.
“Kim is elated and relieved that she has been declared legally single,” the source concluded. “This is a huge weight off of her shoulders that impacts every aspect of her life including her personal relationship with Pete, her children, her profession, and being in the public eye regarding her divorce.”
